I need to detect the run state (on/off) of a three phase motor with a microprocessor with pins rated at 3.3v max.

I have a slight preference for a digital signal but an analog signal is fine if it is 0-3.3v with some threshold meaning on.

What is the simplest and most economical (I need many of these) way to do this with a CR product - a split core device would be great but I can make do with a solid core.

I saw the post and I have the same issue. I need to monitor the on/off state of a three phase motor operating at 220VAC or 440 VAC, I'll prefer a digital output since the microcontroller accepts up to 30 VDC.

Hello, thankyou for your answer. I'm interested in monitoring the on/off state of the motor. It would be easier to monitor current because I don't need to make electrical connections and don't have to worry about using transformers for 220 or 440.
