I have a CR9321 ACA. I want to use it as an initiate switch for a relay (S1). I've attached a .pdf for the relay. Will I need a snubber for this application? Everything is 240VAC.

Dear Sir, This will not need a snubber because it is a solid state relay…

Thanks for your reply a month ago. THe CR9321 works great. I have another relay I'd like you to look at to see if a snubber network is needed for a CR9321. It's attached as a .pdf. This one say's it's an electromechanical relay but it's so small and thin it's nothing like other relays I'm used to. The input is listed as <4VA and I'm using 240VAC.

Dear Sir, It looks like the power for the relay you are using is going to come through the CR9321. However, given the universal voltage input, the actual relay coil that is part of this assembly is probably DC. You probably will not need the snubber when turning this timing relay on.

As you can see, you've helped me before. I have yet another relay I'd like to use with a CR9321. 240VAC will be used. Will this relay need a snubber? See attached document.

I think a snubber would be definitely in order on this size relay. We make a CR9321-ACA-S120 that has a snubber designed for 120 VAC circuits. We could probably create fairly easily a -S240 and have the snubber included. How many pieces you think?

I'm using a CR9321-NPN to detect a motor load (3+ amp @ 240vac), but it is too sensitive to other low level load (approxinlately 0.1A) on the same circuit. Is there any way to decrease the sensitivity to the low level load so as not to trigger the output NPN?
