NEWS RELEASE
NEW CR8400 SERIES OF HIGH ACCURACY, LOW COST CURRENT
TRANSFORMERS INTRODUCED BY CR MAGNETICS, INC.
CR Magnetics, Inc. has introduced a new series of small wire lead style
electrical
current transformers specifically designed for isolated electrical current
monitoring.
The method of operation occurs when an input carrying wire is routed through the
center opening. Two secondary lead wires are connected to an external burden
resistance, with the voltage developed across the external resistance
proportional to
the input current.
The new CR8400 series of wire lead transformers provides a high quality
solution, at
low cost for current sensing. Major applications include ground fault
relays, current
measurements, power monitoring and over/under current sensing.
This series of transformers provides the benefit of a high accuracy remote
monitor
for cost sensitive projects. They are epoxy encapsulated to provide
protection from
the environment. Electrical insulation is rated at 100M ohm @ 500 Vdc.
Detailed
information is available for operation in 50 to 400 Hz systems.
The new CR Magnetics CR8400 series of current transformers are constructed using
core material of a high grade laminated nickel alloy or silicon steel
material. The
styles have window opening sizes of .232" to .610" diameter with .709", to
1.181" O.D.
Three standard styles of the new CR Magnetics CR8400 series wire lead electrical
current transformers are In Stock And Available For Immediate
Shipment !
In addition, custom transformer designs to meet specific requirements can be
readily fabricated and promptly delivered.
Upon introducing the new CR Magnetics CR8400 series, James Bubash, President
of CR Magnetics, Inc., stated: "We are very excited about this new series of
transformers and have just begun to uncover a wide variety of applications.
We are
counting on the use of our web site to help the design engineers with quick
access
to extensive technical information and specific application data
demonstrating the
use of these new transformers."
