Potential Transformers
CR Magnetics carries an extensive line of Potential Transformers that are used to monitor and measure vari-
ous levels of AC voltages. Typically modeled similarly to common power transformers, potential transformers are spe-
cially designed to provide accurate input versus output curves over a wide range of loading. Whereas power trans-
formers are typically designed for 70 to 80 percent regulation, potential transformers are designed for 99% or better
regulation.
The 467, 468, and 460 Series
of voltage transformers are designed to give
accurate measurement of low voltage systems (up to 600 VAC) by stepping down
higher voltages to 120 VAC. Useful for monitoring and measuring incoming
building or factory voltages.
The 3PT-1-45 and PT3-2-45 Series
of potential transformers are designed
to give accurate measurement of medium voltage systems up to 5KV by stepping
down higher voltages to 120 VAC. Useful for monitoring and measuring larger
power systems and distribution networks containing medium voltage loads.
The PTW3-1-60 Series
of potential transformers are designed to give accu-
rate measurement of medium voltage systems up to 5KV by stepping down high-
er voltages to 120 VAC. Useful for monitoring and measuring larger power sys-
tems and distribution networks containing medium voltage loads. These devices
have increased capability to drive larger VA loads.
